Entry Requirement
To study English on an ELICOS program with us, you need to be at least 18 years of age. You’ll also need to have your current English skills assessed so you’re placed into a course at an appropriate level.
Certified tests for entry include:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
Pearson Test of English (PTE)
Council of Adult Education (CAE)
Pearson Versant Test (PVT).
If you’re currently in Australia and haven’t taken any of these tests, we can arrange a PVT for you. Contact us directly to arrange one, or ask your international agent to organise an appointment with us.
Course Duration
This course is offered via classroom based training. The total time commitment is 10 weeks day of classroom training and assessment.
Class sessions are planned to ensure that students have a mixture of practical and theoretical components and those classes cater for a wide variety of learning styles. Additionally, workplace practices and environments are simulated and used to conduct skills based assessments in accordance with unit requirements.
Delivery Mode
This course will be delivered face-to-face in a classroom-based setting which includes the simulation of workplace based environment.

Course progress and attendance
Note that for international students, satisfactory course progress and attendance is required in order to meet visa requirements.
